The course is the first step toward Internal Corrosion Technologist certification for liquid and natural gas pipelines and focuses on implementing, monitoring, and maintaining internal corrosion control within pipeline integrity programs. Through lectures, group work, case studies, and extensive lab practice, participants learn to identify corrosion mechanisms, use monitoring devices and field tests, prescribe mitigation, and apply integrity assessment methods and risk/threat evaluation to prioritize inspection, mitigation, and remediation actions.
