Corrosion Events in Japan

Conference organized by the Japan Society of Corrosion Engineering. The research and technology fields to be considered include corrosion topics related to civil engineering, chemical equipment and plants, water treatment and freshwater, electrical and electronic equipment, power transmission and communication facilities, biomaterials, nuclear materials, batteries, the automotive industry, monitoring, simulation, anticorrosion methods, geological disposal, and more. Additionally, there will be a competition for presentations for speakers under 30 years old.

The conference will feature oral and poster presentations on topics related to the corrosion behavior of materials in nuclear waste storage and disposal facilities. Subjects will include laboratory tests, corrosion in transitional environments, radiolysis, stress corrosion cracking, hydrogen embrittlement, long-term corrosion, microbially influenced corrosion, corrosion sensors, large-scale tests, in situ tests, modelling and prediction, natural analogues, and regulatory perspectives.

Interdisciplinary research on composite materials with focus on durability, damage mechanisms, protection against environmental degradation, corrosion in metal/hybrid composites, repair/rehabilitation, NDE, sustainability and lifecycle assessment.

Global forum on nanotechnology, biomaterials, polymers and sustainable materials with keynotes, panels, workshops and exhibitions focused on applications such as renewable energy, energy storage and corrosion protection.
