This certification prepares professionals to design, install, and maintain cathodic protection systems by mastering advanced theoretical concepts, design calculations, and practical field applications. It is aimed at experienced individuals responsible for protecting assets such as pipelines, tanks, and concrete structures from corrosion using both galvanic and impressed current systems. Certified specialists demonstrate leadership in corrosion analysis, regulatory compliance, and knowledge sharing, ensuring asset integrity and the successful implementation of CP technologies.

This course focuses on in-service inspection and maintenance planning for fixed offshore structures, with an emphasis on corrosion control and integrity management. Participants learn to assess platform corrosion-control systems, apply test methods, identify safety risks and critical areas, understand data-collection systems and platform types, and evaluate key protection systems, including coatings, splash-zone systems, and cathodic protection.

This course focuses on AC, DC, and telluric interference, teaching participants to identify causes and effects, test for interference, and perform calculations to predict AC interference. Through lectures, discussions, in-class experiments, case studies, and group exercises, experienced CP practitioners learn to describe parasitic current effects, recognize coating types, detect stray, AC, and telluric currents, and design mitigation and monitoring strategies to address harmful AC/DC interference on metallic structures.
