Corrosion Control in the Refining Industry took place Sep 21–25, 2026 in Bogota, Colombia. It was a Course event for corrosion and materials science professionals in the South America region. This certification is for professionals responsible for identifying, locating, and controlling corrosion in refinery environments, where saltwater exposure and hazardous chemicals pose severe degradation risks. It covers refinery-specific corrosion mechanisms, corrosive environments, and lifecycle control methods, from material selection and design through protective coatings, cathodic and anodic protection, and environmental modification, plus monitoring techniques using inspection, electrochemical methods, water chemistry, and deposit analysis.
